Was Saddam Hussein good?

Saddam Hussein was the now deposed leader of Iraq. He ruled as the dictator of Iraq and based his ideology on Baathism, a mix of pan-arab nationalism and socialism. This makes him anti-Islamic as a ruler must only rule by Shariah law, Islamic law. While Saddam in his 24 year rule may have done good things, he also did bad like all rulers have (except the prophet Muhammed pbuh). Saddam also attacked other muslim nations such as Kuwait, pushing Kuwait towards westernisation and relations with the Amerikkkan government. So in conclusion, Saddam did not follow Shariah and like any dictator or ruler has done lots of bad, therefore making him not a good leader.

However, it should be noted that we should not support the Amerikkkan government led invasion of Iraq which was based on imperialism, gaining more oil control and lies. There lies about the "weapons of mass destruction " in Iraq is inexcusable, and despite how bad Saddam was, Iraq has never fully recovered since he was in power. And that is not to mention the 600 thousand people Iraqis that died thanks to the Amerikkkan government intervention in Iraq. Also, whether Saddam is guilty of the crimes he is accused could also be debated as he was put in front of a biased court, instead of a international criminal court or Shariah court.

But Allah knows best, and he is the best of planners.
